How do I import a recipe from a website?

Open the app, tap the camera/+ button, choose 'Import from website', and paste or type the URL. SmartChef will extract the recipe automatically.

How does AI recipe generation work?

Tap 'Generate recipe with AI', describe your dish (e.g. 'creamy mushroom risotto for 4'), and SmartChef will create a full recipe using Claude AI.

Where are my recipes stored?

Recipes are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, they also sync across your other Apple devices via your personal iCloud account.

What are the AI subscription plans?

Your purchase includes 10 free AI starts to explore all features. After that, choose Starter (€14.99/year, 10 calls/month) or Pro (€34.99/year, 100 calls/month).

How do I add a photo to a recipe?

Open a recipe, tap the + button on the photo area, and choose from your library, a file, or paste from clipboard.

Can I use SmartChef offline?

Yes — all your saved recipes are available offline. AI features (import, generation) require an internet connection.
